2025 International Day of Prayer

The International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (IDOP) in Canada will be observed on Sunday, November 2, 2025. This day is dedicated to lifting up the persecuted Church and is a time for churches across Canada to come together in prayer for persecuted Christians. The theme for this year’s IDOP is “Unite in Prayer,” and resources and updates will be available starting in September. Churches are invited to incorporate this important day of unified prayer, disciple-making, and witness into the life of their congregation and sphere of influence.
For those looking to participate, the IDOP toolkit is available to help church groups pray for persecuted Christians. The toolkit includes resources to connect with persecuted families around the world, such as Bibles, resources, training, relief, and more. Open Doors Canada will host the event at 7 PM on November 2, and the IDOP Canada Team will provide additional details and resources in the coming months.
The IDOP is a global event that unites the church in prayer for persecuted Christians, and in Canada, it is celebrated by organizations such as:
